Industry unites behind WoodMac China 2009, the largest and longest running woodworking technology trade event in the country
Faced with their
greatest financial crisis ever, the Chinese woodworking industry have
united behind WoodMac China 2009, the largest and longest running
woodworking technology trade event in the country, next scheduled for
the 10th edition from 17-20 February 2009, Shanghai
Following a meeting of
industry leaders in December 2008 called by the China National Forestry
Machinery Association (CNFMA) and including the woodworking Guilds of
Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Lunjiao and Harbin, all agreed on the
importance of continued support for Woodmac China 2009. “ Now more than
ever before our customers need the latest labour saving and efficient
technology that our members produce”. “Furniture and wood product
manufacturers need cost saving machines that can help them produce more
products, at a higher quality and lower cost”, commented Mr. Ma Qisheng
– Secretary General of CNFMA. Mr. Ma added “ WoodMac China 2009 taking
place three weeks after Chinese New Year , offers a vital platform for
our customers in China and overseas markets to source technology
solutions so early in the new year. Industry support from all the major
woodworking guilds in China guarantees that WoodMac China 2009 will
have the largest range of Chinese and international technology of any
event this year and we invite all our valued customers to visit the
show”.
The majority of visitors attending WoodMac will come from China. With
buyers representing forestry, primary wood and board processors,
furniture manufacturers, window, door and flooring producers, building
contractors and interior decorators. Of growing importance and a reason
why WoodMac China attracts so many Chinese companies is the overseas
market that regularly attend in search of Chinese made technology. Many
Chinese manufacturers will focus on this export market, where they can
offer appropriate technology at Chinese prices, far cheaper than
international competitors. The Organisers report a record number of
visitor enquiries this year with pre-registered bookings recording
highest growth by visitors from India, South East Asia, Middle East and
Russia. “We are targeting customers in Russia this year and by working
with the show organizer, have confirmed attendance of key buyers to
WoodMac China” commented Zhu Yaguang , General Manager, MOTIMAC,
Qingdao New Motivity Wood-Working Machinery Co.Ltd.
“We are inviting buyers from India, Italy, Holland and Russia” Mr. Li
Jian Hua, General Manager, Huashunghang Woodworking Machinery.
“We are looking forward to meeting clients from India, Brazil, Mexico
and Iran” Mr Gao, Project Manager, Shanghai Wood-Based panel Machinery
Co.
