Canada's exports of softwood plywood for Japan in 2002 dropped 33.7% against a year earlier to 102,600 cbm, a fall four years in a row. It seems they have difficulty in the market competition with Japanese softwood plywood or OSB. Canada exported 3.28 million cbm softwood lumber to Japan, plumped 15.4% from 2001.
