International Trade Fair of Woodworking Machines and Tools DREMA 2003 took in May 6th on Poznañ International Fair.
We would like to invite you to the DREMA 2003 International Trade Fair of
Woodworking Machines and Tools, which will take place between May 6th and 8th.
About 230 exhibitors from fifteen countries. The International Trade Fair of Woodworking Machines and Tools is the largest
and most representative trade fair of the woodworking industry in Poland and
Eastern Europe. It will be accompanied by the MEBLE 2003 Trade Fair of
Furniture, Accessories and Furnishing, and a separate trade fair for
manufacturers of office furniture and furnishing — BIURO 2003 — which will be
organised for the first time this year. At the same time, the DOMEXPO 2003
Textiles, Table & Kitchen, Technology, Interior Design fair will be held.
The four events are cover complementary areas, making it possible for us to
provide the visitors with a comprehensive offer of interior design products. The
May fairs will jointly occupy an exhibition area of 31,000 square metres with
almost 1000 exhibitors. Exhibition offer Programme of events
The exhibitors at the International Trade Fair of Woodworking Machines
and Tools will present machines and equipment for the wood and sawmill
industries, dust and wood chip removal machines, abrasive materials, drying and
varnishing systems, and glues for the woodworking industry. A large group of
exhibitors — about 90 companies — will be showing woodworking machines. Polish
leaders of the machine building industry will be present, including Gopol,
Jaroma and Rema. Representatives of well-known foreign companies will also be
coming to Drema, with 3M, Cehisa, Metabo, Michel Wening, Nestro, Saint Gobain
and Wood-Mizer among them.
Seminars and conferences concerned with selected areas of the woodworking
industry have been prepared especially for the visitors of the DREMA fair.
On the first day, two seminars will take place, devoted to issues essential for
any company, including those in the woodworking industry. The topics of the
seminars will be: "The competitiveness of the woodworking industry on
the road to the European Union" and "The conditions of
competition for small and medium-sized companies in the sawmill industry in
comparison to their equivalents in the European Union ".
On the second day, a Craft Wood Forum will take place. The talks will
concern such areas as certificates and rulings required in Poland and the
European Union, insurance policies for craft companies, and aid programmes for
small businesses.
An exhibition of old machines and carpenters' tools will also take place
during the fair, presenting antique tools used in woodworking. The "wood on
the postage stamp" exhibition will be held at the same time.
The visitors will also be given the opportunity to take part in competitions.
The second edition of the Polish Nail Driving Championship will take
place. The rules of the competition are simple: the contestants will be required
to drive in a nail using as few blows as possible. The participants of the Chair
Assembling Competition will have to assemble a chair from provided elements
in the shortest time possible. The prize in the "Conjured from
Wood" contest will go to the most unusual object made of wood.
