Woodworking machinery and “high specialisation” will take a starring role at this edition of the fair, which will take place in Pesaro, Italy from the 12th to 14th of September
There are approximately 2,400 companies active in the wood production and furniture manufacturing in the Pesaro and Urbino industrial districts, employing over 15 thousand people. It is here in this fertile manufacturing area, where Sumob was born, the trade fair for the furniture sub supply industry, now in its 5th edition. The trade
show will be held at the Fiera di Pesaro expo centre from he 12th-14th September.
This trade fair, has become an important point of reference for all of those working in the furniture sub supply industry. Raw materials, finishing, products used in the gluing process, semi-finished goods and components, accessories, tools, woodworking machinery, domestic appliances and kitchen units, systems and equipment for handling, logistics and transport, hardware and software, technical printing. These are some of the "traditional" categories on show at Sumob.
But this year there’s even more in store!
At this year’s edition Sumob will host a special section dedicated to highly specialised industries. This will be a space given specifically to all types of work, which are able to give “added value”. Unknown to the general public at large, perhaps for the reason that they are rarely seen at other trade fairs, they are able to inspire industrial designers, company technical offices, company owners, and visitors who are specialists in the field, both from Italy and abroad. They are all involved in developing and improving quality for the furnishing industry.
This special section will be in Pavilion A (one of the most important areas at the fair). It will be a sort large square area where all the types of specialised wood processing techniques will be on display, such as rapid-prototyping, laser on wood techniques, and also on leather and glass, as well as woodcutting, inlay work and veneers using precious woods, cabinetry and much more.
At the 2002 edition of Sumob, there will also be woodworking machinery on display. 20 companies, some of the most important in the industry on a world level and covering an exhibition area of over 2,000 metres sq.
There will also be new designs on show, the most interesting novelties for the sector, but most of all visitors will be able to see the machinery being demonstrated in action.
That’s another good reason not miss the Pesaro show!
