Malaysian furniture industry optimistic

Despite the not-so-favourable economic situation, the furniture industry in Malasya is set to exceed US$1.4 billion by the end of 2002. In tandem with the exponential growth of the Malaysian furniture industry, the Malaysian International Furniture Fair(MIFF) has grown progressively since the first show in 1995 and is now gearing up to continue its successful run with the ninth show in the series. To be held from 4 -8 March 2003, MIFF 2003 holds the anchor as Asia's best with over 400 exhibitors from various parts of Asia participating in the fair. With a massive exhibition size of 600,000 sq ft spanning over 9 halls, the fair is set to be one of the largest exhibitions of its kind in Asia.
