Bulgaria Trakia Papir Invests 4.76 Mln Euro in Corrugated Cardboard Production Upgrade
The final stage of the upgrade was completed on January 30, 2003 with the installation of a production facility manufactured by German corrugated industry machinery maker BHS Corrugated. The total investments made in Trakia Papir after its privatisation in 1998 stand at $7.6 mln (7.03 mln euro). Trakia Papir's majority stake is held by private company Gerhard in Plovdiv, southern Bulgaria.
Trakia Papir presently holds a 70 pct share of the Bulgarian corrugated cardboard market and 30 pct of the corrugated packaging market. The company's 2002 output stood at 50,000 tonnes of corrugated cardboard and its profit for the first half of 2002 was 187,000 Bulgarian levs
Bulgarian cardboard manufacturer Trakia Papir in Pazardzhik, southern Bulgaria, has invested a total of $5.15 mln (4.76 mln euro) in the technological and technical upgrade of its corrugated cardboard production, Trakia Papir executive director, Atanas Kaludov, said.
