Logging enterprise ZAO «National Timber Industrial Company » (ZAO « NLK ») increased volume
Logging enterprise ZAO "National Timber Industrial Company " (ZAO " NLK ") increased volume of timber removal by 77% to 687.5 thous cu m in Jan.-Oct. 2002 year on year. As press-release of ZAO" NLK " informs, assortment logging amounted to 291.7 thous cu m. (5% up), assortment removal — 297.2 thous cu m. (9% up), logging — 379.3 thous cu m. (197% up), removal of timber — 407.2 thous cu m. (178% up), cross-cutting of timber — 441.5 thous cu m. (213% up).
As President of ZAO " NLK " Andrey Prokopov informed, "such upsurge in logging was provided by a whole number of factors, among which construction of wood roads (40 km), and expansion of woodland fund. With own rented forest fund in 950 thous cu m, 50 thous cu m was bought at auctions additionally in 2002. In 2002 logging enterprises of ZAO "NLK" received additional logging machinery and timber vehicles to the total amount of nearly USD1 mln".ZAO "NLK" unites JSC "Ulyanovsk Timber industrial works " (Ulyanovsk), Ustyales (Arkhangelsk region), JSC "Sokolovsky woodworking works", timber industrial concern "Kipelov", Kimrillovsky and Kovzhinsky timber industry enterprises (Vologda region).
ZAO "National Timber Industrial Company " is owned by Sputnik Groupe.
