The cost of imports of Swedish timber-processing goods to Russia equals to the cost of Russian timber exports to Sweden
The cost of the exports of Swedish timber-processing goods to Russian equals to the cost of Russian timber exports to Russia, the Ministry of economic development and trade of Russia reported.
One of the main causes of such situation are the low export duties on raw timber set at 6.5% for softwood raw timber.
According to the Russian government, overall exports and imports from Russia to Sweden reached $1.6 billion, while 7.6% of the export volume is composed by timber, 8.2% of imports – timber and pulp and paper goods.
