Latvia : New plywood factory

Latvian producer of birch plywood Finieris plans to expand its output. A new factory with an annual capacity of 60,000 m3 will become operational by year-end. The new lines will produce plywood of 215 x 385 cm used in the auto industry and in the formwork industry. At its existing plant in Rezekne, Finieris produces 200,000 m3 of birch plywood per year and 20,000 m3 of plywood for the construction industry. This expansion is meant to knock off the first place the market leader Schaumann.
