China: Decade Woods orders new particle board plant
In September 2004 the company Decade Woods (Huizhou) Co.Ltd. placed the order with Dieffenbacher for a particleboard production plant.
Decade Woods is part of the Asia Dekor Group of Companies which is known for its outstanding success in pioneering the Laminate Flooring market in China.
The Group now has a total of three operating sites in the country including a HDF Plant at Heyuan City supplied by Dieffenbacher and a laminating and flooring plant located in Shenzhen using Dieffenbacher’s short cycle system.
The greenfield particleboard plant site was selected near the City of Huizhou in Guangdong Province, with an ideal location and transport infrastructure in the extensive Particleboard market of the huge furniture manufacturing industry surrounding the area.
Raw materials are available from nearby plantations as well as by way of residues from the numerous furniture factories and wood processing plants in close vicinity. An additional source of wood material input is provided by the "urban forest” of China’s largest southern residential and industrial zone.
The plant’s name plate capacity has been designed for 220.000 m3 of particleboard per annum.
Decade Woods selected panel plant supplier Dieffenbacher GmbH + Co. KG of Eppingen, Germany, as the supply partner in charge of the overall process and project engineering.
