EU to Grant $41,2 Million to Lithuania for Forestry Development
About $33,6 million will be directed to the forestation of agricultural lands in accordance with the village development plans while other funds will be directed to forestry development.
The main funds will be granted to private forestry and land-owners which are to present new projects of reforestation, Lithuanian minister of environment Albertas Vasilauskas said.
Presently 31% of Lithuanian forestries are in private hands. EU intends to allocate from the Agricultural orientation and guarantees fund $41,2 million for Lithuanian forestry development within the forthcoming 3 years.
