Nordic Forest Owners' Associations: Towards a normal year in Norwegian forestry
The
winter has so far offered good working conditions, despite a long
period of severe cold. So far this year (to November) logging is
measured to 5.8 million cubic meters. With normal operating conditions
around 500,000 cubic meters will be removed in the last month. With a
total amount of 6.3 million cubic meters, the year 2010 would end up
about on the level than the years before the financial crisis. The
total for 2010 will be seen as a significant boost compared with last
year, but in the longer run will come close to average.
