US willing to reopen softwood negotiations

According to Canada`s international trade minister Jim Peterson the US administration is willing to search for a new solution to solve the softwood lumber dispute. The meeting on Monday was described as "constructive?, after Canadian provinces rejected the proposal. The provinces last week gave thumbs-down to ratifying a December offer by the U.S. to settle the long-running lumber dispute.
