Ukraine: Pulp and paper industry in January
Ukrainian enterprises of pulp and paper industry announced combined results. General production growth for paper and cardboard amounted to 12% or 56 thousand tons compared with the first month 2003. The output of industrial packaging totaled 48.4 thousand sq.m (+22.2% versus January 2004).
The mills manufactured 6.2% more newspaper, 0.6% more printing and writing papers, 1.1% more toilet paper, 13.4% more containerboard (including paper for corrugated), 3.3% more boxboard.
